RAIL DOGS ROUND-UP: IN MEMORY
The Railway Dogs Benevolent Fund was established this year to help pay for ongoing medical care so BTP’s retired police dogs can enjoy a long and happy retirement. You can read about our progress so far here.
Dog handlers have a very strong bond with their animals and losing them is heartbreaking. We have been informed of the sad loss of several former railway dogs since we began working on the Fund:
Bailey
Max
Joe
Max
Perdy
Charlie
We do what we do because we want to ensure all retired BTP dogs have similarly long and happy retirements. Currently, there are more than 20 retired BTP dogs living with their former handlers or adopted families. Your support means we will be here, should they need us.
