Please note:

The fund has been established to support the welfare and care of police dogs who retire after service with British Transport Police and are in need of acute or urgent care, or the owner is experiencing significant financial hardship. It isn't intended to provide for the day to day costs of looking after a retired police dog.

The fund is not 'unlimited' and whilst the role of the Trustees is to ensure the Fund grows as much as possible, we will need to carefully consider and take a proportionate approach when making awards and payments. The owner will ordinarily be expected to cover the first £100 of any claim.

If you’re not sure whether to make a claim or not please contact us.  We want to help as much as possible and will always seek to provide assistance those looking after our retired police dogs.
